Programme Duration: 15 delivery weeks; 75 delivery weeks with the Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Programme
Your Qualification: New Zealand Certificate in Pharmacy (Introduction to Pharmacy Practice) (Level 3)
Your Career Pathways
The programme aims to provide the pharmacy sector with a graduate who has underpinning knowledge and skills in pharmacy retail. Graduates will be able to work within a pharmacy in a non-dispensing role with the supervision of a pharmacist.
Entry Requirements
Domestic Students:
- At least 16 years of age at programme start date.
- 8 credits at NCEA Level 1 (4 credits in English and 4 credits in writing).
- There are no minimum academic requirements for applicants 20 years of age and over.
International Students:
- At least 18 years of age at programme start date.
- Year 12 or 13 qualification or equivalent (high school) including at least one science subject.
- Tertiary graduates and health care professionals who interact with patients are preferred.
- Must meet the English Proficiency Entry Requirements at Level 3 or at Level 5 if combined with the Pharmacy Technician Programme. You may be required to take supplemental English language courses despite meeting the requirements.
